Поговаривают, что не хуже Бората. А если не хуже Бората, то это пиздец шедевр.
Угу, вот в Гардиане пишут:
This is essentially the same movie as its predecessor with a different comic persona, but where Borat's charming naivety caught Americans with their guard down, Brьno's screaming campness often raises their defences.
Brьno review: Sacha Baron Cohen's film premieres in London
Скоро должен попрыгать по кинотеатрам, а то пока только в Англии показали помоему.
Не, уже много где показали. У вас сегодня должна была быть премьера.
Еще отзывы:
The more scandalous his attempts at stardom become, the funnier Bruno is. It’s crude humour that revels in offending it’s audience, but it’s by no means stupid. Anyone can make a joke of homophobes, but Cohen also uses his flamboyant character to reveal a number of damming truths about the entertainment industry. The most astounding of all these arrives when Bruno interviews the parents of child models about what they are willing to allow their kids to do during a photo shoot. Operate heavy machinery? Not a problem. Re-enact the holocaust? Sure, why not. Lose ten kilos within a week, or undergo Liposuction? If that’s what it takes, then my girl’s up to it.
It’s this expository side of Bruno that marginally elevates it above other recent comedy gems such as The Hangover. Where the latter film only ever asks the audience to laugh and nothing more, Bruno challenges preconceived stereotypes and expose alarming truths about the current state of society. There is a greater reliance on shock humour and a more noticeable presence of a script than there was with Borat, but it’s hard not to love the audacity of Bruno; a film certain to give the box office a real Anusstampfen.
Bruno (Review)
But as a whole, there's both something disappointing and satisfyingly necessary about Bruno that justifies its existence. <...> Ultimately, Bruno is the extension and fulfillment of the promise that Sacha Baron Cohen made with Borat; but if there are any new lessons to be learned from the film about what entertainment can be, and more importantly, what it can teach us, it's that sometimes getting what we expect or want is not always the thing that we need most.
Review: Bruno
Similar to Borat’s character, Brьno has a certain spark of charisma that makes him hard not to root for - despite all his weirdness and quirks. Any allegations of mean-spiritedness aside, Cohen and Charles know how to intermingle all the elements they put uniquely into play, and subsequently graft an unforgettable experience. Will they be able to pull it off again? If so, Cohen better create some new characters. The schick could easily become transparent and worn, (where would they go from here, anyhow?) but for now, it still works. Besides leaving us unable to look at our own penises same way (where applicable, I restate), the filmmakers clearly hope to also influence the way we look at the rest of the world, and those in it. And sometimes looking away from ourselves, beyond the born-in attitudes and trappings of our surroundings is just what we need.
Of course, a good dick joke is alright too.
